Pairs with stas after his name* participated in Senior Nationals.

1. Irina ULANOVA & Mikhail TARANKOV --

Their skating wasn't very powerful, neither very polished, but for the team skating together for less than a half a year they have done a good job. She singled her 2A, he landed it though, later they have done SBS 2R//2T sequence, two double throws and double twist. Some interesting positions in the lift, but they looked exausted near the end of the program and stumbled at their final step sequence. Their ending pose was supposed to be similar to B&S, but since they were behind the music, he simply lift her his chest level and hold for a couple of seconds.

2. Natalya LOKTIONOVA & Dmitry LIKHACHEV* -- ?

Not very clean skating, she doubles their SBS 3T, and both fell at 2A//2T sequence, plus they lost unision on SBS spin. But they had good speed and flow throughout the program and good speed at their lifts. They landed SBS 2T and two 2 throws. Unfortunately their twist wasn't very high, and they lost speed a little at the end.

3. Anastasia KUZMINA & Evdokimov STANISLAV -- Carmen

Not very succesful too.He fell on 2A, they missed the one of the throws and she had fell on throw 3 something later in the program, he single SBS 2L and they had troubles with hip lift. However they had landed 2S//2T sequence, made couple of the overhead lift with good speed, and made a double twist.

4. Alena MALTSEVA & Oleg POPOV* -- ?

Better than their skating at Seniors, but still not flawless. He fell on their SBS 2A//2T sequence, she stepped out at throw 2A, and they lost unision on SBS spin. But they are well matched team which looks really good toghether, they had solid lifts, and made 3 twist.

5. Yulia KARPOSKAYA & Sergey SLAVIN

She did 1A, not sure about him, their twist wasn't the split one, fall on the throw, she did 1T, he 2T//2T sequence, out of unision on SBS flying spin. They did a "Shishkova & Naumov" lift, landed throw 1A and made an overhead lift, they are tiny team, I guess they will gain consitence later.

6. Viktoria SHLIAKOVA & Grigory PETROVSKY -- Phantom of the Opera

Good and impressive program. Minor troubles at landing SBS 3T, 2 twist, she single axel in 2A//2T sequence, and fall on the throw. Interesting spirals and lifts. SBS 2R and throw 2 something. They mantained very good speed and flow throughout the program.

7. Ekaterina KARYUKHINA & Oleg NEGIREV --

SBS 2T, she fell on 2A at 2A//2T sequence and put her hand down at throw 2S, the rest of elements were quite impressive though. Huge throw 2A, good lifts, including the a-la upside down hip lift but he hold her by her hands. Very promising and good looking team.

8. Svetlana NIKOLAEVA & Pavel LEBEDEV --

They skated to something very familiar, could be soundtrack, or unusual selections from Lord of Dance. I don't know. He fell on SBS 3T, she fall on throw 3 something, and doublefooted second throw. Nailed SBS 2A//2T, good spirals and speed, but they finished slightly behind the music.

9. Meliza BROZOVICH & Anton NIMENKO* --

Very promising team, but not flawless skating. She put the hand down and 3 throw, he did a mistake at their SBS 3T//2T sequence and he fell at SBS 2A. The rest of elements were very good though, huge throw 2 something, good spirals, and high twist. Slightly behind the music.

10. Yulia SHAPIRO & Alexey SOKOLOV --

Not as good as their SP. He single opening SBS 2A, she doulbefooted the toe in 2A//2T sequence and fall on the throw 3R near the end of the program, the also had some troubles with 3 twist, and she stepped out and throw 3S. Despite these mistakes their skating made very good impression on me, it was powerful, had a good flow and interesting elements, for example they had very special lift - she is skating in front of him, he lift her holding by the hips and then she, well, rotate and they had something like a star lift. It looks a little bit too dangerous but very intresting.

11. Elena RIABCHUK & Stanislav ZAKHAROV -- John Tech's Barcelona

Well, at least last part was Barcelona, the music B&S used as exhibition piece last two seasons, not sure about the rest. Very solid and enthusiastic skating, they certainly deserved victory here even though I usually prefer more "adult" and polished style. Huge 3 twist, SBS 3T, high double throw, SBS 2A, throw 3R, and SBS 2A/1R/2T combo at the very last seconds of the program. Good lifts and spins and great speed and flow. They nearly get a standing ovation from the audience.
