In order of appearance (line divide groups). Pairs with stas after his name* participated in Senior Nationals.

1. Natalya LOKTIONOVA & Dmitry LIKHACHEV* -- ?

They skated to some kind of folk wearing dark blue with silver costumes.

Well, without throw required this event was progrably the most "pair" one I've ever seen, I mean it was not about landing SBS jump. All teams did 2L, and only few missed it. Natalya & Dmitry was one of those who missed they singled it. They skated with good speed and represented the character well.

2. Meliza BROZOVICH & Anton NIMENKO* -- Swan Lake ?

She had very lovely white dress with lace at the sides. I liked them more at Seniors, but probable because the program had more content. This time they easily landed their SBS 2L, did very high twist, but lost unision on SBS spins and finished behind the music. Lovely and promising team, though, and they looked more of the pair than most of their rivals.

3. Irina ULANOVA & Mikhail TARANKOV --

Tiny team 10/12 or something like that judging from the way they looked. Another team to finish behind music, and they did several choreographical moves after combo spin, even though the music ended before they finished spinning. They lost unision at SBS spin and have some minor troubles with twist.

4. Alena MALTSEVA & Oleg POPOV* -- ?

I liked them at Seniors, but this time they were not "on", and spent most of the warm up separetely. Their costumes were black with numerous stripes of bright orange, bright green and bright yellow. They were very concentrated while skating, but lost unision on SBS spin, and have some troubles coming out of the lift.

5. Anastasia KUZMINA & Evdokimov STANISLAV -- ?

Skated some a-la Bolero drums, wearing cyan costumes. They lost but regained unision during SBS spin. Their spiral sequence contained several interesting changes and positions. Overall it was a good program, but they didn't quite live up to it.

6. Elena RIABCHUK & Stanislav ZAKHAROV -- ?

They reminded me of Ukranians Obertas & Palamarchuk, for both team have very "bright" but tiny lady. They skated to some fast upbeat old fashioned music, probably foxtrot or something, I don't know, in bordo costumes with the stripes of neon pink. The program begun with huge and high twist, SBS "tano" 2L. But unfortunately they lost unision on SBS spin, though they did interesting combo spin. Rather childish skating I would say, but charming. I was surprised what they "beat" Brozovich & Nimenko who made mistakes but had more "polished and packed" skating.

7. Ekaterina KARYUKHINA & Oleg SNEGIREV -- Chopin

Good twist, but not as spectacular as the one of the previous team, SBS 2L, and good spin with probably the best "coming out" of it I've ever seen. He really "put" her on the ice, not just "prevent from falling" as most of the pairs do. I liked them most of all, but judges decided against.

8. Yulia SHAPIRO & Alexey SOKOLOV --

2nd at Junior Grand Prix Final. They looked something like 14/21 or so. Very good skating. They mantained the speed throughout intricate spiral sequence, did good twist and SBS 2L. They were dangerously close during their SBS spin (well, at least I thought it was a little bit too close), and I've heard him commanding "hop" to change the position at the warm up, but not during the actual program.

9. Svetlana NIKOLAEVA & Pavel LEBEDEV -- ?

They had bizzare electronic music with different sounds like "oh" and "eh" at background. They impressed me with being the most "silent" team, probably because they don't have an attack of some others, though. The spiral sequence included several "wrecked" positions. I was suprised to see so high marks for them, I liked them, but not "that" much.

10. Viktoria SHLIAKOVA & Grigory PETROVSKY -- ?

3rd at Junior Grand Prix Final. They skated to some "Arabian" kind of music, probably it was a piece from Grieg's Per Gunt. I liked them a lot. SBS 2L out of steps, interesting lift, but they lost unision on SBS spin. They respresented the charecter of the music very well, and the program was nice, but judges doesn't seem to like them as much as I do.

11. Yulia KARPOSKAYA & Sergey SLAVIN

One of the few to make a mistake in SBS jump - she fell. They have lost unision on SBS spin, too.
